CRAFTING YOUR FIBER & MARKETING PLAN

Is your MARKETING plan working for you?
This KAA Sponsored Marketing Session will provide an introduction to marketing for the Alpaca farmer/breeder and is applicable to any fiber livestock. A basic understanding of Who, What, Where and When to market your animals and products will enable the attendee to participate in various marketing opportunities locally and worldwide.
MORNING SESSION: ALL FIBER HAS A USE
To market your products, you must know your fiber. This session includes hands on exercises and discussion providing a basic introduction on how to evaluate YOUR fiber and determine best value added options*. Each participating farm may submit two fiber samples in advance, from any animal for critique by our instructors and individual discussion.
*Class does not teach sorting/grading
AFTERNOON SESSION: MARKETING FIBER & ANIMALS
This session will provide an introduction to marketing, including defining your goals, reaching customers, developing your farm identity & branding, tools for communicating with potential customers, networking, visibility, use of online & social media, improving traffic flow to your booth at events, advertising, and basic guidelines for animal & product photos.
